Community feedback on renewable energy

Communities are our partners in the energy transformation. We’re seeking your feedback on our proposed regulatory framework to make sure energy infrastructure is developed responsibly and supports strong, sustainable energy communities across regional Queensland.

Proposed framework

The Draft Renewables Regulatory Framework (PDF, 916.89 KB) includes current and proposed initiatives in 5 key areas.
They are:

enhanced environmental outcomes
effective community participation
easy access to information
enduring landholder protections
efficient industry facilitation.

We want to hear your views about our proposed initiatives across these key areas and how we implement the regulatory framework.
We’re inviting the community to consider and respond to 4 questions.
They are:

Do these initiatives effectively contribute to the desired objectives including enhanced environmental outcomes, effective community participation, easy access to information, enduring landholder protections, and efficient industry facilitation?
What potential challenges do you foresee in the implementation of these initiatives, and what strategies or solutions could help address them?
Are there any important issues or gaps that these initiatives have not yet addressed?
Do you have any specific feedback or suggestions regarding any particular initiative?
